WHO WE ARE
This story started when one day ESOL teachers from Dundee and Angus College wondered why there wasn't an easily and widely accessible platform for students to express their thoughts and opinions on the new place they found themselves living and studying in. After a brief discussion and a brainstorm with a group of students they came up with an interesting idea for a project. The project was a website "Dundee Voices" which gave voice to students willing to share their experiences and opinions and became a source of knowledge for those who were curious about Dundee and its area.
Of course WE are that group of students, and the curious teachers are Martin Ross, Sue Hain and Violetta Palak who is coordinating the project and organising our messy hurricane of thoughts and ideas.
This project is a way to improve some of our skills like speaking by doing the interviews, writing by producing interesting articles, or getting new ones such as web designing. It also gives us the platform for sharing new and exciting things and information that might be quite useful for other first timers in Dundee.
However, the main reason for participating in this project is to leave testimonials of what it is to be ESOL students at Dundee&Angus College by documenting our amazing and unforgettable experiences.
